Prof. Devendra Adhikari is a distinguished Professor of Physics at Mahendra Morang Adarsh Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, Biratnagar, Nepal, with nearly three decades of academic, research, and administrative experience. He began his academic career as an Assistant Lecturer in 1996 and has been serving as a Professor since 2013. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from T. M. Bhagalpur University, India, with specialization in thermodynamic and structural properties of liquid alloys.
Prof. Adhikari has made significant contributions to university governance and institutional development. He has served in key leadership roles including Head of the Department of Physics, Chairperson of the Research Management Cell, Coordinator of the Self-Assessment Team for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA), and Member Secretary of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). He has also contributed at the national level as a member of faculty boards, academic councils, curriculum development committees, and selection committees of various universities and institutions.
An accomplished researcher, Prof. Adhikari has supervised numerous Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s students and has led several nationally and internationally funded research projects. He has published extensively in reputed international and national peer-reviewed journals and serves as Editor-in-Chief of recognized academic journals, including BIBECHANA. His academic excellence has been recognized through several awards and honors, including the Best Teacher Award and Nepal Vidya Bhusan “Ka”.
Prof. Adhikari is actively involved in professional societies and currently serves as Chairman of the Nepal Physical Society, Koshi Province. His career reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence, transparent governance, quality assurance, and the advancement of higher education and research in Nepal.
